Indian educational institutions have a long and glorious tradition of teaching ENGLISH LITERATURE from school level to university level.

Some years ago I bought from a local second-hand bookshop a copy of GREAT SHORT STORIES: A Collection of The Best Fiction Pieces from The Reader's Digest (RDI, Bombay) which includes THE NEXT VOICE YOU HEAR ... (p. 118-123) - "funny" but also very serious. 

A wonderful story for audiobook recording by many amateurs. - G

I was puzzled by three sentences at the beginning of this story:

Floyd was down in the cellar playing playing with his son Lyman's electric train ... He [Floyd] climbed to his son's room. Lyman was agonizing over arithmetic problems.

Was Floyd playing with his son in the cellar (basement)? BUT when Floyd climbed to his son's room, Floyd found his son studying there! This was so puzzling! I read the sentences SEVERAL times. Finally, I think I got it correct: Floyd was NOT playing in the cellar with his son Lyman but Floyd was playing with the electric train of his son Lyman!

NISSIM EZEKIEL NEVER EXISTED! 

Yesterday, learning from some YouTube TUTORIALS about the poem NIGHT OF THE SCORPION by NISSIM EZEKIEL, who is called "father of Indian English poetry", I suspected that NIGHT OF THE SCORPION is a RECENT poem. I checked Google to find the YEAR the poem was FIRST PUBLISHED in CBSE and ICSE textbooks - Google "AI" did not give the answer but made vague comments. (Date of publication of any book, such as a novel or a book of poems can be backdated, but THE YEAR OF FIRST PUBLICATION of a poem in a CBSE textbook or ICSE textbook can be easily checked.) I suspected that the TIME of uploading of some YouTube videos can be manipulated and Google sources confirmed that the uploading dates CAN be manipulated in local servers though the exact time is recorded in YouTube servers. YouTube tutorial on the poem supposedly uploaded "5 years ago" by Kapil Gangwani seems to be backdated and false. The uploading of the Youtube tutorial on the poem as explained by "English Lessons" (Lakshmi S.) was however dated "six days ago" which seems honest. However, the biography of NISSIM EZEKIEL seems A COMPLETE LIE - there is NOT a single interview with NISSIM EZEKIEL on YouTube - NOT a single lecture by NISSIM EZEKIEL on YouTube: STRANGE for someone said to be "the FATHER of Indian English poetry"! Google pictures of f***ing NISSIM EZEKIEL seem to be pictures of SATAN JOHN PIPER - "KAL NAG" - KRISHNA (M) / KRISHNA (F) who tried to murder KSG by putting a poisonous dead SCORPION on His plate of rice but the assassination attempt FAILED - KSG was smart.
