I had a new experience just a few minutes back. I had a pleasant surprise in the morning a few hours ago when I discovered that the 4G Samsung Tab A8 (WiFi tablet without sim holder, but it works fine with WiFi), which I bought online last year from Flipkart at a discount price (offer was for just a few days) for about Rs. 14,000 (Rs 10,000 less than the normal price Rs. 24,000), I could also use to UPLOAD MY AUDIO PODCASTS TO YouTube by installing (from Play Store) free MP3 Recorder, free Google Drive, and free InShot app! But I found to My great shock that to watch My audio podcast G-80 which I had recorded and uploaded to YouTube using Samsung Tab A8, I had to type and search YouTube under:

@kishalaysinha-dk4ph (or @KishalaySinha-dk4ph) - not just @kishalaysinha!!!

Gosh! What to do? I thought calmly about it. Then, as earlier, I used 4G Realme Pad (Tablet) to upload audio podcast G-80 to YouTube using Google Drive and InShot app, and I could find G-80 on YouTube by typing @kishalaysinha and searching under (clicking the name) Kishalay Sinha! Thank God! (What I find very attractive about Samsung smartphone and tablet is the very clear sound.)

How to remember extra dk4ph in @kishalaysinha-dk4ph? Dick for Ph (PhC/PC)!

(I can now read Kindle app on both 4G Realme tablet and 4G Samsung tablet!)

THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS

I bought a copy of THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS by Arundhati Roy many years ago but I lost it or misplaced it somewhere and so I bought the Kindle edition of the novel. Although the novel is written in stylish English (I don't think the novel was written by Arundhati Roy herself but was actually written by a professional paid ghost writer, which seems to be the done thing), I could not understand the novel on a first reading because it seemed to have NO REAL PLOT and LACKED structure and so I gave up. I bought a guide-book* to help Me understand what the novel is really about. I haven't had the time to read the guide-book* or read the novel. Perhaps if I re-read it now, I will understand it much better because of a lot of experience I have gained since then. I did not understand THE STOLEN KINGDOM by Bethany Atazadeh (KINDLE) at all when I first glanced through it after buying it, but suddenly everything became clear when I re-read the novel yesterday. The only things I still remember about THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS are the delivery of a baby inside a travelling bus (perhaps on Guwahati-Shillong Road?) and something about mast! (I would have to read the novel carefully to check if I have recalled correctly.) By the way, the Nazi crap about "white" races and "Brahmins" being "superior" are bullshit because one's skin color and racial features are changeable and f* Na. "Brahmans" are followers of f* Brahma SAT.

November 1, 2023: I have just checked THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS (Kindle) which I bought online - the mast. scene does occur in Chapter 4 ABHILASH TALKIES - it reads like a very funny and ridiculous comedy scene - the young boy Esther was watching THE SOUND OF MUSIC starring Julie Andrews (SAT. cf. Ma Julie - Majuli - Kamala bari) and Christopher Plummer playing Captain von Trapp (cf. Christ SAT.) with his other family members and comes out of the cinema hall briefly when he encounters the Orangedrink Lemondrink Man. (The mast. scene is on Page 103 of 340 (31%) on 4G Realme Pad (Tablet) and it is on Page 120 of 369 (31%) on 4G Samsung Galaxy M02s smartphone - the page number depends on screen size and font size but percentage % is the same.)

*Of course, the guide-book is meant for serious college and university students of English literature, and for candidates appearing for tough competitive exams who have English literature as one of their subjects, and it is therefore written in a serious and informative style, but as I skimmed through the pages of this well-written informative guide-book it felt like I was reading an entertaining COMEDY because I understood the REAL MEANING of the story hidden below the surface narrative of events described in THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS. Like well-written novels, well-written guide-books are also written by anonymous "ghost writers". It seems to Me that the anonymous "ghost writer" of this guide-book is also the anonymous "ghost writer" of the novel, and knows complete details of the life of "Arundhati Roy". Every time I see putative author top Na. ass. Sh. Kh. "Arundhati Roy" referred to (sarcastically) as "Ms." Arundhati Roy, I feel like laughing loudly.

In a photo on Google, "Arundhati Roy" looks like s.-changed Shahrukh Khan SAT.

PUBLISHING OR UPLOADING DATE OF YOUTUBE VIDEOS

The TWO THINGS I ALWAYS FIRST NOTICE ABOUT ALL YouTube videos are:

(1) its duration 

(2) its date of uploading

The longer it is (the duration of a YouTube video is always accurately indicated and cannot be falsified) and the older its indicated uploading date, the less I am interested and the less I am likely to watch that video. I am not sure if YouTube videos can be given false dates but anyway if it seems to Me FALSE (such as 3 months ago, 4 months ago, 3 years ago, 4 years ago, 5 years ago, etc. - when it seems recent to Me), I feel disgusted - I just cannot tolerate dishonesty - Google sources say that the date can be false though false dates cannot fool YouTube computers. I can tolerate false names or "pen names" because it has become a convention. (I can detect a putative author from his or her lack of literary skill.)

Audio podcasting is an interesting new time pass hobby for Me - nothing more. I know that money is important for all struggling families. As for Me, I don't have any interest in making money from My audio podcasts because at the moment I have enough to get by. I am not a Voice Over coach nor am I a Voice Over artist. I regard podcasting only as a casual hobby for My own personal entertainment. That's why I have BLOCKED comments on My podcasts, and made "subscribers" private (euphemism for blocking subscribers). I don't know how to always make the number of views zero - I wish I could - but I don't know how YouTube works. 

I found today that we can not only find anyone's ENTIRE list of YouTube videos and audios (e.g. @kishalaysinha) by clicking one's NAME and clicking VIDEOS but we can also look up HOME to get "classified" information - not in CIA sense!

Everyone is unique and different, not just in the vulgar (but true) sense of unique different v. (Every time I read or write vs, I regret My own abbreviations v. and s.)

The topic is very important for millions of young people who want to become a published author. But what's so great about getting your book published? Why bother? What is the real reason for wanting to become a published author? To become famous and rich? To compete with newbies who seem to have become very famous overnight? The harsh reality is that practically all published books are not written by their supposed authors but are actually written by very hard-working anonymous GHOST WRITERS who work for money and get paid by the publishers. This is a STANDARD business strategy. Practically no one takes the trouble to write very well like professional ghost writers, which is OK. Enjoy life. Read interesting books. If you think you will impress Almighty God very much if you can get a book published that becomes a best-seller, you would be wrong because the TRUTH is that God (KSG in human form) is NEVER IMPRESSED by ANYONE else, and all (pathetic) terrestrials are completely EQUAL in His eyes. Why not ENJOY writing instead of engaging in meaningless competition with OTHERS? I suggest you download free Google BLOGGER app and keep writing and publishing pieces on BLOGGER (and editing published pieces if you wish) and use your YouTube channel to let people know about your BLOGGER blog.

When I was a graduate student in the department of physiology and biophysics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, there was an American girl, by the name of Cynthia Katherine Hammonds, also a graduate student (in the department of architecture), who stayed in the room opposite mine in the multi-storied hostel for graduate students. Do not be alarmed: the arrangement of rooms in the hostel is shown in the adjoining diagram, with two women sharing a common bathroom, and two men similarly sharing a common bathroom:

Now it so happened that Cynthia grew fond of me. How did I know? She must have noticed that I was a “shy”, serious student who never spoke to women on the campus, nor in the hostel. One day, when all the rooms on my floor were closed and nobody was visible in the long corridor, I happened to notice that she had written:

on the message-pad on her door. I was curious. I read the name on the door: Cynthia Katherine Hammonds. My intuition told me that “Oops!” was addressed to me.

 

I looked up the telephone directory in my room (there was a telephone in every room in the hostel, with a telephone directory listing the telephone numbers of residents of Urbana and Champaign and all graduate students in the hostel). I discovered from the telephone directory that Cynthia was a graduate student in the department of architecture.

 

Next day, she wrote on her message-pad [on the door of her room shared with a girl student]:

 

   After all, I suffered for you today.

 

Those were the sweetest words I had ever read in my life.

 

Soon, I received conclusive confirmation of my guess that Cynthia had fallen in love with me. One evening (it was a cold January evening), as I returned to the hostel after a visit to a bookstore, I opened my door and went in, but left the bunch of keys outside, forgetting to take in the keys. Soon there was a knock on my door. I opened the door: a young woman in blue uniform (a member of the hostel staff) told me, “Sir, you have left your keys on the door.” I thanked her, and took my keys. 

NEXT DAY, I saw written on Cynthia’s door:

 

    Don’t forget your keys!

 

Well, of course, I never spoke to her – indeed, I did not even know what she looked like. I left the university soon after, because my research interests lay elsewhere (not aging in insects, but resuscitation) and biology at that time seemed too un-mathematical to me. I went to Chicago and joined the department of mathematics, statistics, and computer science at the University of Illinois at Chicago as a graduate student.

 

I regret to this day that I do not even have a mental picture of what Cynthia looked like. My wife is convinced that she must have been a fat, ugly woman. I hotly deny this. My wife is not convinced. Women can be so cruel. I feel so hurt and insulted. I tell my wife that I hope at least that Cynthia is alive (God bless her!), although I have no hope of ever locating her, never mind the Internet. She must have got married long ago, after all, and changed her suffix.

 

If only I knew what Cynthia looked like, if only I had a mental picture of sweet Cynthia … 

[Published many years ago in The Sentinel (English news DAILY published from My home town Guwahati, the capital of Assam, India; the Editor was Mr. D.N. Bezboruah) SUNDAY magazine mélange. Not every guy is heir to (illegal) vast wealth, or has a very rich kind father-in-law, or has married a very rich widow mainly for money, or is a regular bank heister.

The bigger the number of VO coaches and VO artists and podcaster hobbyists, the BIGGER the number of microphones and smartphones and computers and tablets and speakers and other podcasting stuff getting SOLD, and the brighter will the LIVES of ALL manufacturers & sellers & scientists & engineers become.
